What is Climate Change?

Ever since the 1800's Climate Change has already affected us. Climate change impacts us in a global scope and unprecedented in scale. Climate change also affects us through food production, shifting weather patters, and to rising sea levels that increase the risk of catastrophic flooding.

Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, such as through variations in the solar cycle. But since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.

More frequent and intense drought, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, melting glaciers and warming oceans can directly harm animals, destroy the places they live, and wreak havoc on people's livelihoods and communities.

About Us

Climate change is a long-term shift in a place's temperature and typical weather patterns. Climate change can refer to a specific place or the entire world. Weather patterns may become less predictable as a result of climate change. Because projected temperature and rainfall levels can no longer be relied upon, these unpredictable weather patterns might make it difficult to maintain and develop crops in farming-dependent regions. Other harmful weather occurrences linked to climate change include more frequent and intense hurricanes, floods, downpours, and winter storms.

The LEAF:WA System showcases Data and Information on The Causes and Effects of Climate change on our planet and also a minigame questionnaire. The website creates awareness among users about why climate change is a problematic issue and how we can address it.

Users can interact with our website by reading information and completing questions. Our website ensures that for every question that users achieve, it’ll provide a certain reward and will also track the complete information of their accomplished questions. Users can also customize the design of their UI according to their personal preferences.

As a team, we feel that the implications that our planet is currently experiencing, ranging from catastrophic disasters to living on the verge of extinction, are serious. Our website encourages visitors to think about how to mitigate the effects of climate change and how to avoid it altogether.
